Although there was a <strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"570\">screening process<\/strong> before the transplant, the infection was not immediately detected.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"838\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Rabies is a <strong data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"672\">fatal disease<\/strong> transmitted by a virus from the saliva or wounds of an infected animal. It usually causes <strong data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"812\">fever, hallucinations, and difficulty swallowing<\/strong> before eventually causing death.<\/span><\/p><p class=\" translation-block\" data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"1091\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Although this case is rare, it highlights the <strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"934\">challenges in organ donation screening<\/strong>.
