Four foreign hikers who had been missing for several days in the mountains of Negros Oriental<\/strong> were successfully rescued this Saturday<\/strong>, according to local authorities. A day earlier, two of their companions were also found safe.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

The six hikers, from Germany, Britain, Russia, and Canada<\/strong>, set out on Wednesday<\/strong> for a 4-hour hike<\/strong> but were stranded due to heavy rain<\/strong> and zero visibility<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

According to a Facebook post, the last four hikers were found around 9:44 AM (0144 GMT)<\/strong> near the Hydropower Plant in Silab, Amlan<\/strong>, near Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The four found were Aldwin Fink (60) and Wolfgang Schlenker (67) from Germany, Anton Chernov (38) from Russia, and a 50-year-old Canadian named Terry<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

According to the Amlan Rescue Office<\/strong>, hikers are currently being taken down from the mountain.<\/span><\/p>

In photos released by local police, a hiker with a leg wound can be seen talking to rescuers inside an ambulance<\/strong>, and another wrapped in a blanket on a stretcher<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Two other companions, Torsten Martin Groschupp (58) and Alexander Radvanyi (63), were found earlier on Friday morning<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

According to Dr. Sheryl<\/strong>, a local health officer, the hikers were not dehydrated<\/strong> because they had drunk water from the lake<\/strong> and one of them had more snacks<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Based on the police investigation, there is a strong possibility that they got lost due to bad weather<\/strong> and the difficult trail<\/strong>. They also did not have a guide<\/strong> for the climb.<\/span><\/p>
