This was the case in which Gil Apolinario, principal of Brgy. Palale Elementary School in Sta. In an unexpected turn of events, the tree fell and hit a passing motorist, resulting in a serious accident. Due to the injuries sustained, the victim suffered \"post-traumatic brain swelling\" and \"diffuse cerebral contusion,\" which later caused his death.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-row-container\" data-vce-boxed-width=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-row vce-row--col-gap-30 vce-row-equal-height vce-row-content--top\" id=\"el-70af4983\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-70af4983\"><div class=\"vce-row-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\"><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last vce-col--md-first vce-col--lg-first vce-col--xl-first\" id=\"el-abd1f696\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-abd1f696\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-abd1f696\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-24a31511\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-24a31511\"><p data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"1358\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The victim's family alleged that Apolinario was negligent and did not take sufficient precautions to ensure the safety of passing motorists and pedestrians. The student also said that he was ordered to cut down the tree without sufficient warning or safety measures. According to the Civil Code, anyone who causes harm to others through negligence must be held accountable.
