A 38-year-old man<\/strong> who was among the top 6 most wanted<\/strong> of the Antipolo Police<\/strong> was arrested for a Carnapping<\/strong> case on Tuesday, March 18, 2025<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

He was arrested in an operation by the Provincial Highway Patrol Team<\/strong> of Rizal and Antipolo Police<\/strong> at a house in Barangay Nayon<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

According to the PNP investigation<\/strong>, it emerged that in January 2025<\/strong>, the suspect sold a stolen motorcycle<\/strong> to his neighbor \u2014 who happened to be a friend of the motorcycle's real owner.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"\"Our suspect had a friend who gave him a motorcycle to sell. He didn't know that the motorcycle was stolen and belonged to their neighbor,\" explained Police Lieutenant Orlando Jalmasco, Public Information Officer of the Antipolo CCPS.\"<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Because of this, when the victim saw the motorcycle for sale, he immediately sought help from the barangay<\/strong>, and they confirmed that it was the stolen motorcycle<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The suspect was previously involved in a snatching case in 2003<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The man admitted that he sold the motorcycle but insisted that he did not know<\/strong> that it was stolen.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"My friend came to me because he needed money. He sold me the motorcycle. I didn't know that it was stolen<\/strong>,\" the suspect said.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

He is now in the custody of the Antipolo CCPS<\/strong>, and has bail set at P300,000<\/strong> for the case of violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
