In the world of ultra-luxury sedans, we often think of names like Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Maybach, and Bentley. But now, a new brand from China wants to intervene \u2013 Huawei!<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Yes, that's right! The well-known company that makes smartphones and smart devices has entered the luxury segment, starting with the Maextro S800, the largest EV sedan (so far) from China.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Maextro is a premium brand resulting from the joint venture of Huawei and JAC, and the S800 is their first vehicle. With its length of 5,480mm, it is even longer than the Mercedes-Maybach S Class, and has designs that seem to be borrowed from Rolls Royce and Maybach.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The exterior of the S800 features two-tone paint and lots of chrome. The chrome-plated wheels look like a copy of the Rolls Royce Phantom, and in side profile, it looks like a four-door Rolls Royce Wraith. There are no pictures of the interior yet, but Huawei is still preparing the introduction of the model in their home market.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Besides the size, the Maextro S800 is also strong in power. There are two options: full BEV and EREV powerplant. The BEV has a tri-motor setup with 863 PS, while the EREV has a 1.5-liter turbo and three electric motors with 1020 PS.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In the EREV version, the Maextro S800 has a 63 kWh NMC battery that can provide up to 371 km of range using pure electric power.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The S800 is designed to meet level 3 advanced driver assistance standards using Huawei's ADS intelligent driving system, so there is a LiDAR sensor on the roof.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Maextro S800 will be manufactured at JAC's headquarters in Hefei, China, and is expected to be released in their home market in the second quarter of 2025.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
