Matapos ang kamakailang pagtukoy ng Pilipinas sa mga maritime zone nito, naglabas kahapon ang Tsina ng sarili nitong mga baseline at base point ng teritoryal na dagat na katabi ng Panatag o Scarborough Shoal.<\/span><\/p>

Ang mga baseline ng teritoryal na dagat na katabi ng Bajo de Masinloc ay itinakda at inihayag alinsunod sa internasyonal na batas, tulad ng UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) at Batas ng Tsina sa Teritoryal na Dagat at Contiguous Zone, ayon sa isang tagapagsalita ng Ministeryo ng Ugnayang Panlabas ng Tsina.<\/span><\/p>

Noong Nobyembre 8, nilagdaan ni Pangulong Marcos ang dalawang batas \u2013 ang Maritime Zones Act at Archipelagic Sea Lanes Act \u2013 na nagtatakda ng mga ruta ng dagat at hangin para sa mga banyagang sasakyang-dagat at eroplano sa loob ng archipelagic waters ng bansa.<\/span><\/p>

Sinabi ni Marcos na ang Maritime Zones Act ay naglalarawan ng lawak at hangganan ng mga maritime zone ng bansa ayon sa Konstitusyon, UNCLOS at ang 2016 arbitral award na nagpatibay sa mga karapatan ng Pilipinas sa dagat at nagpawalang-bisa sa malawak na mga claim ng Tsina sa South China Sea.<\/span><\/p>

Ang pagpapatupad ng batas ay galit sa Tsina.<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Inangkin ng Beijing na layunin nitong patatagin ang arbitral award sa pamamagitan ng pambansang batas, dahil isasama nito ang Panatag Shoal, karamihan sa mga Spratly Islands at mga kaugnay na tubig sa maritime zones ng Pilipinas.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cAng hakbang na ito ay labis na lumalabag sa teritoryal na soberanya ng Tsina at mga karapatan at interes sa dagat sa South China Sea,\u201d sabi ng tagapagsalita.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cMatatag na tinutulan ito ng Tsina at patuloy na gagawin ang lahat ng kinakailangan alinsunod sa batas upang matatag na ipagtanggol ang teritoryal na soberanya at mga karapatan at interes nito sa dagat,\u201d dagdag niya.<\/span><\/p>

Pinuri ng Estados Unidos ang pagpapatupad ng Pilipinas ng Maritime Zones Act, na naglalayong higit pang patatagin ang mga karapatan ng bansa sa kanyang mga tubig, partikular sa West Philippine Sea. Sinabi ni US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson noong Biyernes na maaaring umasa ang Pilipinas sa isang \u201ckorus ng mga bansa\u201d na magpapahayag ng suporta para sa 2016 arbitral ruling upang ipagtanggol ang mga karapatan at pribilehiyo nito sa dagat, pati na rin ang tumulong sa pagpapanatili ng isang nakabatay sa batas na kaayusan sa harap ng mga agresibong hakbang ng Tsina at paglabag sa internasyonal na batas.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
