Sa loob lamang ng 21 oras, naitala ang 90 volcanic earthquakes sa Bulkang Kanlaon sa isla ng Negros mula 3 PM ng Martes, Hulyo 2, hanggang 12 PM ng Miyerkules, Hulyo 3.<\/span><\/p>

Ipinahayag ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) sa isang abiso na inilabas nila ng 1:15 PM ng Miyerkules na ito ay nagpapakita ng \"pinalakas na seismic activity.\"<\/span><\/p>

Inilarawan ng Phivolcs ang 85 sa mga volcanic earthquake bilang \"mahina at may mababang frequency na mga kaganapan na nagpapakita ng paggalaw ng volcanic fluids,\" habang ang natitirang 5 ay \"volcano-tectonic events... na sanhi ng pagkabiyak ng bato.\"<\/span><\/p>
